I’m so glad I read the transcript... so pretty much y’all as a summary: her friend who was also interested in fashion was an intern and called her saying that the company is looking for new interns and told her to send her resume to the fashion coordinator so she did and she got in. The tips shared is working at McDonald’s at 14 taught her hard word and work ethic so no matter what you do, work hard at it and believe everything will work out.

Most Italians are good people but I’ve never met so many blatantly disrespectful people in any country like I’ve encountered in Italy I once tried to check into a hotel and they said to call them so that they can unlock the front door. I don’t speak Italian but I tried to speak to them in 4 languages (English, Spanish, German, Mandarin) and they hung up on me because I don’t speak Italian

A few years ago I was following an American youtuber who had completed her three-year degree at bocconi. She had also used the same method with Linkedin. But I think it can only work if you have a particular background, otherwise you just get seen as a spammer.

Thanks Kaija, loved your thoughts on this. Good observations. I have been spending quite a bit of time in Italy (twice a year) and noted the differences in dating, based on the cultural difference of men. Italian men often asked what it's like dating Australian men, not having a lot of experience, it's been hard to explain, so I think you've explained it as accurately as possible... also noting 'generally' on some of these points, I would agree it's commonplace. It's such an interesting topic. I definitely warm to Italian men for the reasons you mentioned. Another big difference is that Italian men don't push to be physically involved with you... they are gentle and will flow with your comfort levels... again generally. I have been seeing an Italian man for about 1 year, he's such a gentleman. I've learned to respect and admire his close female friendships too haha.

i've lived in Australia all my life and i have never heard of timed seating in a restaurant. Sounds very trashy. I've never been rushed out either. She must live in the heart of sydney or melbourne maybe, I suppose things are faster paced there. But I've never had that experience in Brisbane. The culture in Australia is far more laid back than that.

I don't give a fuck about the best pasta in Rome. Kaija I need to know instead how you get your complexion so clear and vibrant! Just kidding, I did write down Miscusi for best pasta in my little notebook for when I go to Milan next month. And that Gino Sorbillo has definitely stuck in my brain for best pizza. Now if you wanted to drop a skin care routine, I wouldn't be necessarily offended...
